Chief Nursing Officer, NHS England
Duncan Burton leads NHS England's commitment to ensuring that the workforce is supported, heard and empowered to turn the investigation's recommendations into lasting action.
Chief Midwifery Officer for England
Kate has worked strategically across many parts of the maternity system. She has also been part of national and regional maternity networks, including the London Local Supervising Authority, national expert reference groups for commissioning, postnatal and continuity of care, and research steering groups for complex programmes of research. Kate has worked in multiple roles as a midwife including as a community midwife, labour ward co-ordinator and manager.
National Medical Director
Francesca (Frankie) has over 30 years' experience in the NHS. Previous roles have included multiple Medical Director positions at NHS Trusts and at two Integrated Care Boards, while also working as a Consultant Physician and Endocrinologist at Norfolk and Norwich University Hospitals. She is an Honorary Professor to Norwich Medical School at the University of East Anglia.
